We would love to hear from you and answer your questions but we have also listed here some anticipated questions. If you do not find an answer to your questions please contact us.

Can I book a one to one session or a class at your yoga studio?

Not on this website! please visit www.cornwallyogacentre.org to book all in-person sessions and check the timetable on the website for our current schedule.

Our live streaming will be available in two different types.

Live Interactive Streaming via Zoom and,
Live Broadcast via Zoom and/or Vimeo.

What is the difference?

Live Interactive enables you to view the stream and also join in with your own webcam and microphone.

You can see the teacher and the teacher can see you.

The format for this type of event is for the teacher to speak to everyone attending the stream at the beginning of the class and then request that everyone mute their microphones whilst the stream is taking place. Then at the end of the class, everyone unmutes their microphones so you can then discuss the class with the teacher and ask any questions that you may have. This type of live stream is not recorded so cannot be watched at a later time.

Live Broadcast is a live-streamed class that has no user interaction. The teacher will stream the class live whilst you follow in the comfort of your own home or venue. This type of class will also be recorded so that it can be viewed at a later time.

You only require a device to be able to view this type of stream a webcam or microphone is not required.

Can I just turn up and start watching a live stream?

No. All live classes require that you head to our class timetable and register for the event. For safety reasons, an account is required you cannot be a guest user on the website and attend a live class.

What do I need to attend a live class?

For Zoom based classes you will need to download the app to your device to attend. You can download Zoom for your device from their website.

For Vimeo based classes you can access in a variety of ways. You can download a player such as VLC player for Windows, Mac iOS and Andriod, Media Player for Windows, Quicktime for Mac iOS and more.

You can also view Vimeo streams through a browser using the link provided for the class which is provided in your account after you have registered to attend a Live Broadcast stream.

Vimeo can also be installed on smart TV’s and Amazon Firestick devices.

Live Stream Quality and Internet Speed

Live streaming relies on internet connection speeds for both ourselves as the streaming provider and your own internet connection speed as the receiver.

We recommend a device that can view a minimum of 360p quality and if you have trouble viewing a live stream, for example, poor picture quality or buffering (waiting for the stream to resume) then we recommend that you test your internet connection and disconnect any other devices that are connected to ensure the best speed possible.

You can test your internet speed here

Faster is obviously better and wired connections are often more stable than wifi connections. If in doubt we recommend trying a wired connection to see if there are any issues with your wifi connection.

We have teamed up with Vimeo and Zoom to provide the best streaming solutions possible. With cloud-based technology, the streaming service is designed to be routed to a service provider closer to your location to ensure that you receive the stream as quickly as possible.

As the internet and its services providers can sometimes have issues outside of our control we are unable to predict or promise that a stream will be interrupted, delayed, or quality. Slower internet connections may result in a delay in the stream of up to 10 seconds. This can be sometimes resolved in video players and devices by adjusting your video quality settings. Here is a guide to assist you:

1mbps download speed – recommended video quality 360p
3mbps download speed – recommended video quality 720p
7mbps download speed – recommended video quality 1080p
12mbps+ download speed – recommended video quality 2k and higher

If you have any problems please contact us for help.

We have created a studio at our venue in Truro to record content using a 1080p camera (now upgraded to 4k quality) with lights, a microphone, and brand new technical equipment and software to edit and produce.

Whilst we are yoga teachers and not film producers we have employed the talents of a student who is studying film and production to assist us with the production of our recorded content.

We are also employing teachers who are qualified in different yoga styles and therapies to produce recoded content for the site ensuring that there is something of interest for everyone.

Some of our teachers are in parts of the world with low-quality internet services and/or older equipment. Some of our teachers are by nature more softly spoken than others. Therefore, you may find between teachers and sometimes even with the same teacher that you need to adjust the volume for the class and the video quality will range from 720p through to 4k depending on the equipment available to the teacher at the time of recording.

We are committed to supplying teachers with better equipment where possible to ensure we are providing you with the best quality content.

Depending on the membership package not all content is included. Basic membership packages include 10-minute length recordings but require an additional payment for longer classes.

Regular and Premium members have access to all recorded content without any further payment.

All content is supplied through our video and streaming partner Vimeo which enables us to store content in the cloud making it easily available no matter where you are. They are MP4 based video which makes them compatible with Windows, Apple, and Android devices.

Unfortunately, if you have a device that is very old then it may not be compatible. However, you should be able to access the videos on any device that can open a web browser.

If you do experience any issues with our content please contact us.

We have created a variety of memberships together with payment options including a free trial so that you can make sure that the site and content is what you were hoping for.

Our basic monthly membership offers a 7-day free trial which allows you to signup, view a range of content and 10 minute pre-recorded videos, register for live classes on a pay as you go basis and more!

All our memberships offer discounts if paid for quarterly or yearly giving you great value for money and should you wish to cancel, of which we are sure you wont, then you can do so without question in your account.
